Get the Big Picture of Your Life and Business Together
A well-rounded experience of success in business, personal and spiritual life comes from having laser sharp clarity about your personal, business, family and relationship values and goals. The beauty of this type of clarity is that it provides mental blinders that block the distractions and allow for a straighter shot to living your dreams.
One critical and often underestimated step in this journey to discovering your success is the development of a firm understanding and consciousness about all these elements and how they fit into the big picture of your business and your life.
In other words, if you want to rock it, you have to lay out your values, your personal, family and relationship goals, your support systems, inspiration, ideal client, their biggest pain, your solution, your ideal lifestyle and your revenue generation goals… you will be placing yourself among the ranks of visionaries like Anita Roddick and Mary Kay Ash. But your vision of success may look different from theirs, which is what makes each one of us unique and special.
Watch this video for a few tips to gain clarity about your life…
Do you struggle with not having clarity or feeling like you are not in touch with your life purpose and how it relates to your work?
Do you feel like something is off, but you just aren’t sure how to fix it?
Or does everything feel out of alignment and you are too overwhelmed to know where to start? Good news: you are not alone!
If you need help, I would love to arrange a time to talk and see if we would be a good fit to work together. Feel free to start or add to this discussion in the comments…

Can You Fold Laundry? Great! Then You Can Build An Empire!
Everyday, moms are doing amazing things for their families, for their neighbors, for their friends and for the community, but often times they put their own desires on the back burner because they want to take care of everyone else. They volunteer to help at church, at school, at local community events, and the list goes on. But ultimately, they lose touch with their passion and their dreams or they simply feel that they have too much on their plate to pursue anything else.
Does this sound familiar?
What message do you think this mentality sends to your children?
What behavior is this role modeling to them?
Deep down, do you feel that doing everything for everyone else is going to fulfill you or do you feel that this is a self-imposed duty of motherhood?
Now, let’s look at this in another way…
What do you think would happen if you decided to shake things up a little and re-prioritize so you could make some time to take steps toward your own personal goals? What if I could show you a way to create a business that allowed you to spend time with your family and also earn money doing something you love? Would that interest you? Stay tuned because I will be launching a free video series in a few weeks that will show you just that!
In the meantime… here is a little video I made to show you how folding laundry is just like running a business!
Does this video make you curious? It’s time to follow your dreams and start (or shift a current biz into) that lifestyle business that will really help you to bring your gifts and talents to the world so you can truly be happy. Think about what kind of role modeling you would be doing for your kids with this simple shift in the way you approach life and please share your thoughts with us in the comments.

What Kids Think About Moms Who Have Their Own Businesses
One of the biggest inspirations for most mom entrepreneurs is our kids. Of course we want to make money and make the world a better place, yada yada, but what we really want is to inspire and be inspired by our kids. That’s why we are moms.
We start businesses to empower ourselves, but we also want to support, encourage and be present for our children.
So, we start these businesses with the best of intentions and sometimes we need a little help staying on track.
Well, I wanted to know what my littlest little thinks about me working from home and running my own business(es). So, I made this video (and had no idea what was going to come out of her mouth!) to show you what a 4 year old thinks about her mom being an entrepreneur…
Now, I want to know what other questions you want me to ask this little cutie about her mom running a business in Part 2! Leave your ideas in the comments!

Competition Versus Collaboration in Motherhood and Business
In the old model of business, the thought was that you needed to outsmart your competition if you wanted to “win”.
Yuck.
Fortunately, not all entrepreneurs subscribe to this way of thinking and have seen the power that collaboration can bring to business. For mom entrepreneurs and moms without businesses, competition can eat up friendships and make you look like a real jerk. However, if you see your fellow mom as an asset and an ally, you may find that you can accomplish more in less time and have fun in the process.
The mindset of competition is a thing of the past, but does that mean that we should completely lose our competitive nature?
What is the happy medium for competition versus collaboration in business and motherhood and how do we leverage our skills and natural strengths to not only succeed, but to teach our children the value of giving to others?
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments!

The Secret to Commenting on Blogs For Added Visibility and Good Karma
Are you looking for low cost ways to boost your online visibility? Have you ever wondered why people like lots of comments on their blogs? Would you like people to comment regularly on your blog? I bet you would!
Let me share a little known secret with you…
The reason why it is good practice to comment (with added information and/or resources) on blogs that get a lot of traffic (from your target audience) is not just because you can gain recognition by the targeted blogger and get links to your own blog, but because you are giving great content to the blog owner and increasing the value that they provide.
Make a habit of regularly commenting on blogs by thoughtfully sharing your experiences, resources and opinions. This is NOT a place to promote your products and services, but rather a means to give to others so that you will in turn receive.

Stress Buster Spring Cleaning Tips for Your Biz
My good friend Alicia Dunams joined me yesterday for a special Stress Busting Spring Cleaning Session for her biz.
I wasn’t planning to offer this as a product, I was simply going to shoot a video and have it be an example of organizing your business.
And then Alicia showed up with a lot of stress on her plate and we dove into a clean up session.
When we were finished, she pointed out that people can’t do this work without the help of a coach or mentor because they are in the thick of it and they can’t see outside of the fog. When business owners are feeling overwhelmed and stressed, they need to take a step back and look at their business and life as a whole to see where the gaps are.
In this video, you will see me going through this process with Alicia and what ended up coming of it (after an hour and a half of teaching and coaching) was clarity about her vision and the action steps that she should be taking on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to move her business forward.
There are all sorts of distractions out there (social media being a big one) that can take business owners away from the systems in their businesses and add to the stress of not being on track. If you are one of those entrepreneurs who is feeling out of whack and off track… give me a ring (415.614.0192) or send me an email. I’d love to help you get sorted out! I am only going to offer this service to 25 business owners over the next month, so if you know that this is something that you need, hop on it!
However, if you want to go ahead and see if you can sort this stuff out by yourself first, have at it!
Start by creating a list of your top 5 values, personal goals and family goals.
Then, write down the three identifying factors of your ideal client, their biggest pain, your solution and all of the business systems that will help you provide the best service to your clients. When you are done, look at all of the systems and your vision and goals and make sure that they are in alignment and that they are all fully functioning. Look for areas where you are having trouble and see if there are ways that you can provide better service, more follow up, greater team management or more support for your vision.
When we take the time to look at our ultimate vision and see how our business and choices either compliment each other or distract us from our purpose, we can make adjustments that will help us stay on target to living our dreams. Without having a clear idea of the big picture, our stress will overwhelm us. But when we have clarity of purpose, we can enjoy our work, help others and manifest the vision that lies within.
