24 Engaging Women Celebrities of Social Media – Vol. 1

A few months ago, Melissa Stewart created a list of 20 Women on Twitter That You Should Follow.  Being included on that list was an incredible honor (especially when grouped with such talent), but it was also nice to get the heads up on some amazing women that I wasn’t yet following.  I wanted to do something here on Work Smart Lifestyle with my own twist, so I created this list: a completely random (no order of preference) grouping of 24 high profile women on social media who are consistently ENGAGING.

It was REALLY hard to narrow this list down to 24, but the goal was to curate a fairly broad sampling of personalities while giving you a snapshot of Tweetchats, blogs, Facebook pages etc that these ladies are known for.  Stay tuned for future lists and please add your favorites in the comments!  I’d love to have your input for the next list!

Ann Evanston @AnnEvanston Want some Monday comment love on your blog? Ann is your girl.  She also does Feisty Ann videos on Fridays (this woman is a kick in the pants!).  Ann’s tweets are informative and smart and she always gives great social media tips!

Lori Moreno @LoriMoreno Looking to feel loved, inspired and in tune with your purpose in life?  Lori is your gal!  She tweets amazing original quotes while also keeping you current on news and social media trends.  On top of that, Lori has a beautiful heart. :)

Carrie Wilkerson @CarrieWilkerson As a mother of 4 and a rising online business star, Carrie hosts Barefoot Executive TV with a cute Southern accent and always adorable bare feet!  Her tweets are real, smart, funny and informative while also making you think.  She also asks great questions which is always a plus for interesting conversations.

Shelly Kramer @ShellyKramer Always sharing great links and fun things to read, Shelly is absolutely a must follow for anyone who wants to be in the know about branding and integrated marketing.

Ann Tran @AnnTran_ If you want to connect with someone who is generous, inspiring, creative and kind, Ann is all of the above.  Her blog is chalk full of beautiful travel, photography, wine and inspiration and she shares info on all of these topics and much more on Twitter as well.

Alyssa Milano @Alyssa_Milano You loved her on Who’s The Boss and now she is on Twitter and actually responds to tweets! With a big heart and a lot of love to go around for animals, people and a new little one… Alyssa always inspires us to make the world a better place!  I heart her and I bet she will be a great mom!

Pam Moore @PamMktgNut is always sending out useful social media tips and links to great posts that will help you cultivate an incredible social media presence.  As the host of #GetRealChat Tuesday nights at 6pm PST/9pm EST, Pam is always game to get you the goods on social media and marketing for your biz.

Debra Cincioni @MomsofAmerica Give this woman a cape and some dancing shoes! She’s like the ultimate super-mompreneur with her awesome Moms of America blog and her inspiring tweets.  Debra is dedicated to the Moms of America… Can you say FABULOUS?!  This woman is super cool and a super giver. A+ in my book of moms!

Stefanie Michaels @AdventureGirl If you dream of traveling or if you are actually living your dreams and planning travel, Stefanie delivers the goods on everything travel related.  She keeps things super zen while still being entertaining, which can be a challenge, but she pulls of with style.  Stefanie and her adventures help me to remember that traveling is something that I really want to do!

Marlee Matlin @MarleeMatlin Always spreading positive energy, enthusiasm and humor, Marlee is one of my favorite actresses.  Ever since Children of a Lesser God, Marlee has intrigued me.  But, she rose to supreme goddess status in What the Bleep Do We Know.  (If you haven’t seen it, it’s a MUST!) Anyway, on Twitter, Marlee is always engaging in good causes, good messages and good conversation.

Wendi Moore-Buyssee @WendiMooreAgncy Aside from the fact that she is super down to earth, this woman shares good stuff!  You will always find great branding and biz tips in her stream along with links to everything you want to know about social media and marketing.

Melissa Stewart @MelissaOnline  The word that comes to mind when I think of Melissa is: Sweetheart.  I always imagine her with a smile.  She tends to tweet about women and business, but she’s also been known to peek her head into chats and bring a warm ray of sunshine.

Rebel Brown @RebelBrown A remarkable woman with a remarkable story.  This woman is full of power, honesty and love.  Her tweets spread inspiration and depth while her conversations always have heart.  And she’s always wishing everyone well, which is something we all should do more of (that and laughing).

Kimberley Clayton Blaine @TheGoToMom She will tell you all you need to know about everything from being an awesome parent to great SONY cameras and then she will reach out with a warm hello.  A sweet friend with some mad videography skills, a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile.

Sarah Robinson @SarahRobinson  Her blog is called Escaping Mediocrity and she leads a workshop called Irresistable Presence that she is building a team of super heros for.  Need I say more?  Well, I will. ;) This Southern charmer is an absolute doll and she will make you really think with her practical tips and tongue in cheek witty humor that inspires you to live your life to the fullest.

Stacy Kinney @StacyKinney Of all of the people that I follow on Twitter, lately Stacey asks the most questions , but they are the kind of questions that you don’t always want to tweet the answer to right away.  You just want to think about them and then RT her fantastic quotes!

Liz Strauss @LizStrauss Ever heard of SOBCon?  If not, click the link and read up.  Her message: Make meaningful connections so you can be irresistible.  Want to be successful?  Liz will inspire your forward movement!  One more thing about Liz that I admire… she likes to tweet hugs (which I think is awesome).

Maria Shriver @MariaShriver  Her charity work with the Special Olympics is what I have always appreciated, but as I have grown older and become a wife and mom, I have to say that Maria Shriver inspires me to be a strong woman.  Her social media interactions are designed to make the world a better place.  I do wish that she would engage a bit more on Twitter, but her brand is about inspiring, empowering and engaging, so that works for now. ;)

Pam Slim @PamSlim Sometimes she is just chatting with friends who she probably knows in real life.  Other times she is sharing meaningful things she has heard, thought about or learned in life.  All the time she is positive and helping people to break the mold so they can embrace freedom.  Now that’s cool!

@CarlaYoungCarla Young @CarlaYoung A talented copywriter can be an incredible tweeter and Carla most certainly qualifies!  Her blog post titles, quotes and tips are always ripe for an RT and the #MOMeoChat on Thursdays at 7pm PST consistently has a fabulous panel of experts speaking on topics of interest to ambitious mompreneurs.

Mary Allen @LifeCoachMary She just inspires me.  We share a similar passion of encouraging people to follow their dreams and live their favorite lifestyle.  Good old fashioned inspiration and positive vibes for ya!

Carolyn Gardner @OurTownMagazine  Great quotes.  Great talk about family and sea turtles.  Super RTer.  Always spreading the love and always sharing great moments of inspiration from interesting poeple.  Another one who I imagine smiles a lot IRL.

Lolly Daskal @LollyDaskal  Anyone who hosts a chat called #LeadFromWithin (Tuesdays at 5pm PST/8pm EST) must be pretty special, right?  Well, Lolly not only inspires with every tweet, but she also is extremely generous with her #FollowFriday tweets that include thoughtful reasons for why she follows people.  She truly is a leader and a great one to follow if you want to sharpen your leadership skills.

Jessica Northey @JessicaNorthey I think this woman was born to tweet!  You can tell she is a fun girl in person because she can certainly rile up an engaging conversation with everyone from country music stars to actors to mompreneurs, but she also gives some super helpful tips on social media and marketing.  Join Jessica at the always fun and entertaining #CMchat (Country Music Chat) every  Monday at 6pm PST/9pm EST.

Alright, here’s your chance… anyone to add or any thoughts?  Can’t wait to hear them! :)
