Favorite Quote: What the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
1. Which came first: the biz or the kid? Kids.
2. What is your biggest productivity secret- the thing that helps you accomplish the most in your day?
Blocking out 1-2 hours every single day where I take a no-excuses approach to completing income-generating tasks and projects
3. How well do you feel you are balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship? Any tips?
Some days, not as as well as I’d like but I always keep balance in mind as a mompreneur. Tips would be to set an end time to the day. When you work from home and you love what you do, it’s easy to just keep going back into the office. Create something that forces an end-time like dinner or games with the family.
4. What was the tipping point for you when you realized you were truly an entrepreneur?
A life coach opened my eyes to my core gift (coaching) and I realized I could turn it into a business.
5. What one word describes your purpose in your family, your biz and your life?
Family purpose: to give my kids the tools they need to live fulfilling lives and to create great memories they can laugh about when they grow up.
Biz purpose: To rescue as many struggling entrepreneurs as I can and teach them exactly how to create success in their businesses.
Life: Create a foundation for single moms where they can learn both family and business skills for living successful lives.
6. Where do you find your greatest source of support for your goals in your family, business and life?
God first, then mentors. I’m a firm believer in mentorship and coaching. It moves you forward much faster than trying to do things on your own.
7. What do you do to recharge your spiritual batteries?
Music for sure. Or just sit at the lake in the back of my house and do nothing but stare at the ducks. Quiet time is also key – for prayer and recharging my spirit.
8. iPhone or Blackberry? Neither – I don’t want 24×7 connection to emails and the internet. I have a plain old cell phone with no internet access.
9. Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla
10. PC or Mac? PC
11. Which do you do most often: Eat out, Order In or Cook it yourself?
Definitely cook myself – love to cook big meals.
12. Who is your biggest supporter?
I’d say the man in my life. Definitely gives me 100% support and encouragement.
13. Who is your greatest inspiration?
Different mentors at different times. God for the most part.
14. What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Continuing public speaking, teaching, inspiring success in other solopreneurs like myself.
