7 Indicators for Moms (Who Left The Corporate World After Having a Family) That It Is Time to Follow Your Dreams and Start A Business!

At some point in time, after having children, whether a mom has had a career or not, it is natural to desire something else besides children to focus on, especially if you had a high level of ambition before starting a family. If you are teetering on the edge of action versus inactivity, let this moment be the catalyst to set you on the course to your destiny.
Here are 7 indicators that you are ready to take the leap and start your own business:
1. You miss the feeling of having something besides runny noses and dirty socks to talk about with your friends.
2. You have a little rainy day cash stash that you hide away for the future… or for a vacation or a purchase that you never quite get around to using.
3. You gaze longingly at high-powered female executives who are all decked out in their suits, wondering if that could have been you, if you had stayed the course.
4. You regularly think and talk about new inventions and ideas for businesses that you think are great opportunities for success (and your friends even encourage you to go for it).
5. You really do want to contribute to the family bank account and cover some monthly expenses (and get that hot pair of Jimmy Choos, without the hassle!)
6. You feel a touch (or a ton) of envy when your friends who have their own businesses talk about their accomplishments.
7. You have books, manuals, training curriculums, product outlines or other ideas for a business that you want to create someday (but they are tucked away in the back of your drawer or closet in the hopes that one day an angel from heaven will speak to you and tell you, “Do it now. It’s time.”).
Well, I may not have a halo, but call me an angel because now is the time to follow that dream, you little go-getter! Every day you wait is a day lost in your progress. So, get a move on it, sister! Grab a pen. Write your pitch on a cocktail napkin. Give yourself a timeline. Tape it to your forehead. Announce it to the world. And don’t let anything stop you from living your purpose. The world is your oyster, but it’s your job to crack the sucker open!
I’m here if you need me. Good luck and as always, keep me posted on your endeavors!
