Business Startup for Moms PART 3: Self Care and Success Strategies for Mompreneurs

Staying True to Your Vision and Your Purpose is the KEY to success.

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur myself, I can honestly say that it is very likely that the vision you start out with as you launch your business will evolve into something different than you originally dreamed. Expect this and plan for it. Launch your business in phases and schedule times to check in with yourself before you get wrapped up in execution. As long as your end goal stays the same, you will be on the right track.

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”

-Mark Victor Hansen

To promote happiness and fulfillment on your entrepreneurial journey, schedule daily time to acknowledge your own successes, receive support and absorb inspiration. The start-up phase of your business can be an exciting time and a stressful one. Expect to have times where you feel like throwing in the towel, but know that those who persist are the ones who ultimately succeed.

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
- Herman Cain

Go easy on yourself and make sure that the business you create is one that you will love. Focus on your end goal and use that as a way to navigate the way to living your dreams.  If you need help navigating the start up phase, don’t be afraid to reach out and hire a coach!  It is always a good thing to have someone to hold you accountable. give you resources and provide support.

True! Thanks Britt … so many times we forget why we start a business in the first place and then we run ourselves ragged. Self-care is at the core of all we do and creates more of what we want we we make time for it.

This is brilliant advice Britt. Sometimes in startup phase you can tend to hit more hurdles than you do successes and unless you remain focused on your vision and ultimate goals it can be easy to lose sight of what's important. I love your idea of celebrating your successes each day to keep you on track. If you end you day with writing down your successes for the day (ending on a high note) and then re-read those successes first thing the next morning it can only help to remind you of how far you've already come and give you the boost you need to continue on.

    Great Post Britt!
