Lifestyle Business or Business That Steals Your Life?

What do you think?  Where do you draw the line between lifestyle entrepreneur and workaholic?   Does lifestyle entrepreneruship have to do with how aligned you are with your business or how aligned you are with your desired lifestyle?  Both?  Or neither?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question.  It just struck a cord with me and I wanted to share it with you so that you could jump in here and share your two cents.

Let’s get this conversation going in the comments section!

Thanks so much and if you know anyone else who may have an opinion on this topic, feel free to share on social media!

Yes, Karavita – that is exactly the point! So many business owners forget that the business they create will determine the lifestyle they live, so if they aren’t thoughtful about the lifestyle they want to live, they can find themselves not loving their busiiness or their life.  It is a very common business trap that many entrepreneurs fall into and one that inspired me to design the Life Success Map program and the Lifestyle Business Plan.  ;)

Britt, this is such a great discussion! It’s a question that I ask myself a lot, because I probably do have some workaholic tendencies. Luckily, I’ve had some nudges from good friends and I’ve started making some changes and I’m identifying those things in my business that “I” don’t need to do. I used to call it being hands-on, but if I’m not uniquely qualified to do a task, I’m learning to put it on the outsource list. Some days this is easier than others, but as I focus on what’s really important in my business, those things that only I can do, the work is even more satisfying, my life is happier and the company is more successful. It’s a good incentive to keep moving in the right direction!
