Family Goals Are the Breakfast of Champions!

A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”
– Cardinal Mermillod

So, there you have it.  No one can ever take your place, moms! But what is really important is that you know where your place is.

What I mean by this is that for a mom to feel like she understands how her choices impact her family, she needs to know where her own personal needs and goals fall in line with her family’s.

Do you know what your own personal goals are?  Do you know what your family goals are?

For all moms, whether business owners or not, it is essential to your personal and family fulfillment that you know where you are heading.  It is critical that you lay all of your goals out and that you claim them as your own- so that life doesn’t pass you by…

It’s time to take charge, Marge!  Now is the time to take action and set your goals for both yourself and your family.

Do you care to share one of your top goals with us?

Or do you need some help figuring out how to take action on your personal or family goals?

Simply leave a comment below with your questions and let’s get you moving in the direction of your dreams!

One of my top family goals is to travel the world together! I want to show my kids the variety of the earth. I want to explore and learn about the many different people, foods, art, religions, music and cultures of the world with my kids. So, I have made sure to create a business that I can do from anywhere and I will share my experiences with you on this blog! Stay tuned…

My business is brand spankin' new, I'm still setting the foundation but, like you, a priority family goal is being to travel as a family so that our worldview includes more than the American perspective. Having 3 special needs children makes this all the more challenging. My vision is there but I don't have the answer yet to pulling it all together. My artistic right brain is sticking its foot out in front of my logical left brain ; ) You are right about needing a mentor or coach to assist with getting the steps in order.

Cyndi, god bless you! My sister has 2 special needs children (1 severe and the other slight) and one typically developing child. I know the types of challenges you face very well. Remember: that these are challenges, not barriers.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give for having dreams and challenges like this… don't let fear keep you from living your life. Children with special needs means that you have to be resourceful and plan ahead. If that means that you need to hire someone to join you on the trip so you have an extra set of hands, then your job will be to figure out where to find the best person for the job, how much that will cost and how to make enough money to set sail ;) Let me know if you need resources or help planning! You can do this! In fact, you may even be able to make a business out of doing it to inspire other parents just like you and then write the whole thing off as a business expense! ;)
