1. Which came first: the biz or the kid? The small people
2. What is your biggest productivity secret- the thing that helps you accomplish the most in your day? Is it wrong that I laughed when I read this? My secret is that there is no secret. I do my best to embrace both my strengths (I’m a positive person) and my weaknesses (I am simply not that organized). The mixture of self-awareness and pure life enjoyment combine to create my personal recipe for getting things done.
3. How well do you feel you are balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship? I think I’m about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The good news about that: my kids know that I love them…even if we aren’t together 24/7, I usually manage to accomplish many things in a week and I have room for improvement – so I am reminded to learn at every turn. Any tips? Yes – remember you can accomplish everything on your to-do list….just not at one time.
4. What was the tipping point for you when you realized you were truly an entrepreneur? I think this realization is still settling over me….but I have to confess….getting paid for your time helps.
5. What one word describes your purpose in your family, your biz and your life? Gratitude
6. Where do you find your greatest source of support for your goals in your family, business and life? Aside from my husband….The Social Media Community – there is absolutely no shortage of brilliant, inspiring people – so many are willing to guide you, to offer suggestions, and to partner for greater good.
7. What do you do to recharge your spiritual batteries? In my perfect world, I recharge at the beach – it is a sensory experience for me- I can see it/hear it/smell it. But, and this is a BIG BUT….I live in St. Louis. Therefore, no beach. Bummer, I know. So, I snuggle with my small people, do yoga, meditate, read, drink a glass of wine, call a friend.
8. One thing you can’t live without: sunshine, oh and my MAC (can someone say addiction?)
9. iPhone or Blackberry? *sigh* I have a Blackberry, but I covet the iPhone. And by covet, I mean I want one very, very, very badly. Very.
10. Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate
11. PC or Mac? MAC, MAC, MAC
12. Which do you do most often: Eat out, Order In or Cook it yourself? Most often cook, but I do LOVE to eat out.
13. Who is your biggest supporter? My husband, without a doubt
14. Who is your greatest inspiration? My small people. With their pure hearts, their propensity for giggling, their desire to learn, love and explore….I am, quite simply, surrounded by goodness and light. It inspires me to be better, stronger, and to give
15. What do you see yourself doing in 5 years? There is more TV in my future….and I see Give Good, Get Good on a grand scale.
